Comix Experience Ladies' Night Presents: GALENTINE'S DAY!
What better way to celebrate Galentine's Day than with your favorite ladies who love comics?! We'll being making valentines and, of course, chatting comics! BYOB!
We're super excited to have Joe Pruett, publisher and chief commercial officer at AfterShock Comics, visiting both stores on Thursday, December 7th! He'll be at Comix Experience Outpost from 3-5pm and Comix Experience from 6-8pm. This is a great opportunity to get some insight into both the comics industry as a whole as well as some of the most exciting series coming out right now--don't miss it!
AfterShock has put out some truly special comics this year, including Donny Cates' much-talked-about series BABYTEETH and the always-horrifying (in the best way!) Cullen Bunn's DARK ARK. Stop by to learn all about what happens behind the scenes at one of comics' most promising publishers and maybe get some hints about what they have in store for next year! Plus, you'll get the chance to pick Joe Pruett's brain about his extensive experience in the comics world!
An Eisner award winning comic book editor, publisher, and writer with over 25 years of experience, Joe was nominated for numerous Eisner and Harvey awards as a writer, editor and publisher, including for his work on Negative Burn at Caliber Comics. He is also known for his work at Marvel, where he wrote for X-Men Unlimited, Wolverine, and Cable. Joe founded Desperado Publishing in 2004, which had a publishing partnership with Image Comics and IDW.
