Ooooh, MONSTRESS #31 starts a new arc of an amazing comic, while the amazing Judd Winick starts his third arc of HILO. Or maybe you want to go smaller press, where Frank Gogol's new arc of DEAD END KIDS starts. Or, if you're old like Brian, you're digging on OTHER HISTORY OF THE DC UNIVERSE #2, where John Ridley somehow ties TITANS comics from the 70s to Arthur Ashe and the Atlanta Child Murders to CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS #7. Interestingly shaped week for launches! The big standout is probably RAIN LIKE HAMMERS but we're also eagerly awaiting the return of ABBOTT 1973! The final days before the holidays, but there's a ton of great comics being released on Wednesday! We're most excited about Rockstar Dav Pilkey's newest: CAT KID COMICS CLUB, and for a weekly new release, we're down with THE PICTURE OF EVERYTHING, ooh, or the remix of SHAM COMICS 80 PAGE GIANT. Pretty excited for a few books this week, especially the Steve Skroce-noodled POST AMERICANA and, woo, a new-to-US Junji Ito with REMINA. We also think that the return of SECOND COMING ONLY BEGOTTEN SON is a looker, and are vibing on the comics expansion of THE EXPANSE. Much much more under the cut…. What looks good to YOU?

Smaller week than usual for debuts, but there's always gems. The lead book is likely SWORD by Al Ewing, and everyone loves a good BATMAN: BLACK AND WHITE, finally HOME SICK PILOTS from Image is worth a shot. We come into the last month of 2020 with a smaller week, but packed with some anticipated books -- Marvel's next big crossover with KING IN BLACK, the end of Tom King's run with BATMAN / CATWOMAN #1, a entirely different end in LUMBERJANES END OF DAYS, and the most intriguing indy launch looks like KNOCK EM DEAD. A modest week of comics without a ton of new launches. BARBALIEN is the next installment of "Black Hammer" spotlights, while Ten and Thirteen team up in the new DOCTOR WHO #1. After a couple of big huge weeks, things get a little quieter this time out, but there's still many books you might like. We think the lead book might be PLANET PARADISE, but there's a lot of love for Adam Hughes drawing HELLBOY THE SEVEN WIVES CLUB.
